The Little Compton Housing Trust is Little Compton’s community based entity to address the problem of housing affordability in our community. We aim to address this goal through property acquisition, development, and management. Trust shall also serve as an advocacy group for any person or group desiring to address the problem of housing affordability or housing for the elderly, those with special needs and families of low and moderate income. The Housing Trust shall generally oversee the implementation of the Affordable Housing Plan of the community, shall monitor long term housing affordability for the community, and advise the Town Council of Little Compton in its efforts and support the Town's goal of diversifying the housing stock. The Housing Trust shall also advise the Town Council in its amendment of the Affordable Housing Plan.
The Little Compton Housing Trust is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization, donations are tax-deductible.
We hold a monthly public meeting, usually on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6pm at the Little Compton Town Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to join and participate in our meetings. We advocate for housing affordability for all.
Low to Moderate Income individuals and families
Affordable housing is available to individuals and families making up to 120% of Area Median Income (AMI).

Some housing opportunities may have further restrictions to qualify, such as a designation for seniors or those with disabilities.
Our Funding:
- We receive a portion of the building permit fees from the town of Little Compton.
- Funds may be allocated from the Town general fund as appropriated by the town budget and Financial Town Meeting.
- In 2023, we have applied for and been approved for over 300K in grant funds for our specific upcoming projects.
- We graciously accept tax-deductible donations of funds and appropriate property.
